Students will explore and engage with the elements of playwriting to create exciting and original Cosplay, Hero/Heroine based One Acts. A play is different from a written story in that it is meant to be performed, not read. Playwriting is visual writing painted with characters’ dialogue. Drama is conflict, and figuring out how characters handle those desires and challenges is part of the fun of playwriting. Students will perform a staged reading of their plays at the end of the semester and the final written play can be included in your professional portfolios!
