Do you or someone you know have unique or special fitness and exercise needs due to chronic or temporary health conditions, learning disability, or another barrier? If yes, this class may be for you. The instructor, AJ Krey, among several certifications, is a Certified Special Populations Specialist and a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, which means he is qualified to use an individualized approach, assess, motivate, educate, and train special population clients of all ages regarding their health and fitness needs, preventively, and in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Special populations include, but not limited to, individuals battling cancer, heart conditions like heart failure and vascular diseases, respiratory / pulmonary conditions like asthma and COPD, musculoskeletal disorders like amputation, arthritis, back pain, cystic fibrosis, neurological conditions like down’s syndrome, stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and other conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, disordered eating, and pregnancy.
